Jöns Aschan is the owner of Paddlingsfabriken and works as the coach, guide, webmaster and sales agent.

He has experience as a distinguished flatwater racer primarily in 1971-1980's. During this time he was also engaged as a tour guide. In 2004 he became a professional in Sea Kayaking and running a rental shop. In 2007 he was approved as a BCU level 2 coach and BCU 3 Star Kayak Sea paddler. 2008 he did the BCU 4 Star Kayak Sea training and was approved Hjälpinstruktör within Nordisk Instruktörslicens. Jöns holds a marine-VHF operators certificate as required in Finland. He speaks fluent Swedish, Finnish and English. He also excels German and some French. He introduces and teaches tens if not hundreds of people annually to the sport of kayaking.
