Strait "Vitsandsströmmen" is opening in Ekenäs. We have small patches of clean open water and larger patches of loose ice left in the fairline of carrier ships. This is the safest environment we can think of to learn and practice some of the challenges faced, helpful techiniques, equipment, positioning, types of ice that you could face on an arctic expedition or early spring kayaking in waters where blocks of ice could close your route back home.
The training time and practice will be for one day only, but one of the days from Friday to Sunday that weekend. Dry suits are mandatory during the practice session and rented for 20 euro/per person by Paddlingsfabriken. Kayak rent is a separate 20 euro.
