Knut is one of the paddle guides, who assists Jöns with larger groups, leads smaller groups, assists with training beginner courses and acts as a general resource at Paddlingsfabriken. His enthusiasm for paddling got its initial kick early on when his parents took him out with a folding kayak on the river Havel in Berlin, Germany. His teacher studies and other life's turbulences took him to Ekenäs in Finland. He can now looks back at more than 30 years of paddling, and gladly offers his knowledge and experience to the clients of Paddlingsfabriken.
Qualifications
- Kayak instructors licens (Nr. 1861) at the Finnish Canoe Federation
- Coastal Navigation Diploma from the Finnish Navigation Federation
- First Aid certificate 1 from the Finnish Red Cross
- Sea-VHF certificate (SRC)
- Planning and building of a "skin-on-frame" kayak
- Building of a "stitch-and-glue" Kayak (Seguin)
